It can't possibly happen. Let's Go was a failed concept because it barely captured a minuscule portion of Pokémon Go's audience of hundreds of millions of users. 15 million is not decent sales when a crappy remake like BDSP got 14 million in a year. Now the Pokémon Go boom is completely off and there is no reason for another game.

playing through the first game with unevolved Pikachu and Eevee was annoying enough, imagine squaring off against Red with your level 85 Togepi. I would actually love a Lets Go! Johto but they need to allow the starters to evolve and add in more mechanics.

Are you stupid? There was nowhere to fit it in until now. DLCs get a year to themselves in exchange for no third versions, and it was DPs turn for a remake last gen. If another Let's Go is going to happen next year will be the time. If it doesn't get announced in February then it's safe to call it dead.

I think these two are among the most iconic and popular Gen2 Pokemon and they make a duo.

Can't think of a good enough counterpart for Togepi. Pichu would feel redundant.
Let's Go Cleffa and Let's Go Togepi would be kino with the whole reference to Clefairy.

Game Freak tried to merge the Pokémon RPG and Pokémon GO concepts and it didn't work. There is no reason to bring out a game from the GO line because there is no demand and there never was.

They may make another Let's go-type game but they probably won't name it Let's go. There's no way to succeed Pikachu and Eevee with any other Pokémon besides the Johto starters themselves, and then one would be left out unless they make 3 versions.

Pichu and eevee to represent things introduced in gen 2. Pichu for babies/breeding and eevee for day/night evolutions and friendship evolutions. They can all evolve now and there's an option to switch traditional battles and catching on.
