>>54945293You could make another profile in your Switch, rush it and grab the doggo. Can't remember if you can grab and switch Pokemon from profile's boxes without purchasing a Switch Online sub but I believe you don't. Therefore you can:
1. Start a new profile
2. Advance it a bit so you receive the Pokemon Link item (to access boxes in-game)
3. Deposit say your starter and keep something else in your party
4. Boot up HOME, grab the starter and put it in HOME (it should be possible even with the free HOME box)
5. Swap your profile in HOME and drop it in your main file's boxes from your HOME box
6. Boot the main file, stuff it with XP candies to level 100 and do the same process to send it back to the fresh profile
In conclusion, iirc it should be able to be done without having a HOME sub or a NSO sub. It should also alleviate the necessary time to rush the game until you can catch doggo and your Pokemon will obey you because it met you as your starter. Once you have it you can offer a trade for the other doggo and it should be a desirable trade with actual humans in other communities/sites. Unfortunately if you put it on GTS you are bound to get one of those advertisement legends that someone wants to get rid off
