I don't think it has anything to do with preferential treatment, it's just that the Ancient pokemon theme always looks cool and the Android pokemon theme always looks stupid.
In the first place, are they even living beings?
If you can have a robot fight, what's stopping people from just pulling out a glock and becoming champion?
It's steel fire type, it has 1000 Attack and 2000 Speed

it really is just full Digimon, I don't care that they're imaginary schizoid projections from Turo, they just don't fit into pokemon.
Even Magnemite is mostly a normal eye with a steel shell, like Aggron, but these are full on 100% just robots.
