Some people argue about whether SwSh or SV is less bad but the way gen 8 becomes objectively worse is if it's the only generation to have the dexcut all the way through. Ergo the dexcut ends next year.

This. Even Arceus got fucking new animations for older pokémon Sword and Shit promised and NEVER deliver. SV even updated models.

scarlet/violet are already the best pokemon games in the entire series in terms of gameplay
i myself judged it harshly when it released, purely making my decision from the visuals, but after i downloaded the rom and played it myself on pc, i can say that scarlet/violet are genuinely the best experience pokemon has ever gotten
the visuals are bad, but the gameplay, story and character interactions are great
