This is not exclusive to /vp/ because almost every discussion about these certain Pokemon are always "this Pokemon is too weak" and discussions that don't start off like this end up being so anyway.
r/Pokemon is arguably worse than /vp/ about this (and other things) because they always bitch and moan about how Charizard is always getting attention but then they shit on unpopular Pokemon like Meganium, inadvertently proving themselves right on why popular Pokemon like Charizard get all the attention like the fools they are. I bet they gawk over Meganium in Radical Red but don't even bother with the ROM hack and if they do, they don't use Meganium (nor do they use any weak Pokemon they mope over to turn around and shit on that were buffed).
