Every electric type that isnt a legendary is hot garbage. The type is completely carried byu the legendaries. Zapdos, Thundurus, Koko, Eleki and probably Paradox Raikou have been the only worthwhile electric types ever.

Garbage without HP ice, not great even with it and completely outclassed by all of the electric legendaries.

You missed out on the theme's biggest actual problems

>Design tropes and exploration of the theme are 99% "what is animal was yellow and used electricity"
>Gimped by obligatory pika-clones
>Stat distribution is largely "dude fast special attacker"
>Barely gets any new Pokemon each gen

Those that have a decent movepool are quite alright I think.
Pawmot and Kilowattrel are notably good mons this gen.
Morpeko, Heliolisk and Galvantula can do some work too.

At least, since Gen 5, Pikaclones try to have an interesting typing at least, Morpeko had an interesting gimmick outside of being a Pikaclone and the Pawms were a whole line for the first time... So baby steps I guess

Also latter gens expanded in diversity, even if they didn't add a lot of lines, they tried to cover unused typings at least

None of the mons you mentioned are good or worthwhile at all. Kilowatrel is squarely Zapdos at home and Pawmot, despite having access to the strongest move in the game, Revival Blessing, is still not a great pokemon. The others are total ass.

I mean, if you remove all legendaries from all others types, you won't find a lot of great mons either.
Water, Steel and Dragon would stand out, but that's it.

Bellibolt is a solid tank, capable of taking hits and hitting back hard, while also healing.
Pawmot is great support, with Nuzzle, Fake Out in doubles, and Revival Blessing.
Arctozolt was a great hail sweeper, and would be even better with the new snow mechanics.
Magnezone has been great in every generation until this one, and is only mid now because he doesn't have much to trap.
Mega Manectric was far from the king of megas, but was notably good in doubles where it could cripple enemy teams with Intimidate, Snarl, and speedy Volt Switches to pivot.
Please stop acting like you know what you're talking about.

That's because teras are generally done for the defensive benefits, and electric barely has any of those. It's very much an offense-and-support oriented type, not a defensive one.

The one weakness is one of the most common offensive types in the game. And two of the resistances are supremely uncommon as far as attacks go. Sure it sounds great if you spin it as 1 to 3, but the magnitude, no pun intended, is greater than that.
