Would you prefer something like DP remakes or something using the SV graphics engine?

Or a retro 3D-2D hybrid like the remake of Dragon Quest III

HD2D is fucking vomit 99% of the time, please no.
Honestly, I think the DS games already do pretty well blending 2D and 3D, mostly because they keep it simple and don't have fucking raytracing and 500 billion filters over everything.

i think HD2D can look fine if it's done well but we know gamefreak will not do it well

Making an LG would limit the game, I would prefer that they make something compatible with current games as happened at the time with RSE/RFGL, DPP/HGSS, and XY/ORAS

Games like BDSP are a step backwards, LG games are graphically beautiful, but they quickly become boring

Gameplay of Arceus but in a modern day setting, and you can battle other trainers and go through gyms.

The main routes are still the big circle, but with the open world format you can leave the routes and explore the wild as much as you want so the game is open.

Story is largely self contained but also follows up on BW1/2.

I will be disappointed by anything less, and I will be disappointed if this isn't done well. I am setting myself up for disappointment.
