>>54981734>Cute chibi graphics and classic top-down camera view. The graphics were not polished enough for this to be a positive. There are games on Gamecube that unironically look better than BDSP's half-baked art style.
>In battle mode the models and animations look goodSee above.
>The best rematches we've had in the history of this franchise (Gym Leaders, E4, Cynthia, Barry, Lucas/Dawn, stat trainers, etc.) with vastly improved AIThe rematches use strategies that would put all of smogon and VGC on suicide watch. Whether that's actually a good thing or not is up to personal taste.
>a vastly expanded Underground with amazing varied biomes, and a Pokemon selection that surpasses PlatinumBiomes are a nice touch, but they seem to only exist for the sole purpose of introducing overworld pokemon encounters. Why couldn't they have done that for the entire game?
>Improved Secret Bases where you now places the Statues of your favorite PokemonBDSP secret bases are a straight downgrade from the originals. They removed the minigames, traps, player-to-player goods trading, and the ability to increase your base's decoration capacity by capturing other players' flags. Hell, they removed ALL of the decorations (rugs, dolls, chairs, tables, etc.) that players loved customizing their bases with.
>Super Contests are finally playable, unlike the convoluted mess that were the Gen 4 ContestsSuper Contests are 'babby's first guitar hero' simulators where you only push one button to hit the notes and score big. That's not deep or satisfying enough to be fun.
>Improved Amity Square where you can now play with up to 6 PokemonNot sure if they fixed it, but your pokemon can trap you in corners, forcing you to restart the game.
>A revamped Battle Tower where we can now face Gym Leaders, E4, Cynthia, Team Galactic Admins, Cyrus, the Stat Trainers and BarryThe Battle Frontier would've been much more impressive, especially considering they could've worked those elements directly into it.
