Late to the Pokémon thing (just this year) but enjoy it so far. I’ve seen all of Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn most of JN and started Kalos (yes I haven’t seen Sinnoh or Unova yet). I’ve seen 2 movies so far. M21 from local library and Arceus Chronicles (part of JN apparently). M21 seems to be held in high regard but I found it dull and lacking in humor. I enjoyed Arceus Chronicles much more. It’s just lighter and more enjoyable, and it’s nice seeing old characters reunite. M21’s characters were hard to relate to, seeing Snubul die wasn’t very impactful, and Ash was basically a Desu ex machina Gary Stu, not the lovable knucklehead of canon.
