Nah, they're just buttering us up for playable overworld Pokemon in general. They've had this one in the works since LGPE, and I wouldn't be surprised if they've been thinking about it since Gen 7, which was around the time they DMCA'd Prism for being too popular and being potentially confusing to normalfags as a Necrozma game.
