I think it’s funny Unova has some of the worst starters, the worst regional bird, and the worst regional mammal. It’s like they wanted you to hate the game in the first 30 minutes.

Honestly I've always had a soft spot for Samurott, not sure if I prefer it to Greninja or not but I know it's general consensus is that it's not a massive favourite for some, especially compared to Gren, so was still very clearly cherrypicked for the sake of the argument

Yep, instead 5 (and 3, though that also has a few babies) have the dex filler duos/trios that are either version exclusive or quasi-exclusives like Throh/Sawk

NTA, but I'm a sucker for elegant/sleek + power designs, especially for traditionally weak types like Bug, Normal, Ice, or Poison. Volcarona plays into that design very well, with the only other Bug that really plays into that style of design being Scizor and Frosmoth.
