Recently finished Platinum and the biggest memes and banter around the Sinnoh games seem really exaggerated. I was thinking the whole time that Cynthia's Garchomp was the most formidable trainer's pokemon by a long shot, but it dies instantly to Ice Beam from Gastrodon. It isn't the Garchomp that makes the fight hard, it's the entire team she has.

>Spiritomb: Complete and utter swiss army knife bastard with no weakness in its home gen and has a chance to boost all of its stats, including speed

>Togekiss: Bulky son of a bitch that takes forever to kill before it kills you, has good coverage and loves to abuse flinch-hax

>Milotic: Complete nightmare, status effects make it stronger, bane of all special attackers, can eat a thunderbolt and oneshot in return with Mirror Coat, should've been the big bad of Cynthia's team

>Lucario: Is the ultimate jobber desu

Don't get it twisted, Garchomp is still a beast, but why does it get all the credit when the other 5 members can be just as tough, if not even moreso than Garchomp?
