but it's so jammed pack full of cringy shitty dated memes, most of which are just obnoxiously screaming at you "HEY REMEMBER THIS POP CULTURE REFERENCE, DON'T YOU REMEMBER THIS EPIC JOKE" that it became impossible to play after the fourth badge or so

What I love about the Pokemon roster in this game is that it's half shitpostmons, and half unironically good Fakemons that you'd find in stuff like Uranium or Coromon. I'd probably burn out mentally if it was 100% jokemons. Also the music is based:

this, plus the fact that most of the shitpostmons are still perfectly viable. Clover is a shitpost and a meme but also an unironically challenging and rewarding Pokemon game. I won't defend the outdated memes but there are some good jokes in there too

Honestly would’ve been fine with it had they let you thief broken items off trainers pokemon like in older versions. The final version just take a little too much of the fun out of the mid-game. Postgame is kino though
