- Bouffalant having an afro and gold jewelry.
- The black gym leader's "mammy" design (the gag is correlating an archaeology apron with a kitchen apron)
- And while this one is much less definite, there may be something to Whimsicott being dark-skinned and associated with cotton.
I think the first three are all absolutely intentional, Whimsicott could've been accidental, especially since it doesn't start out dark-skinned.
