There’s only 1 option for Unova and it’s the failed Zoroark.
Hell it may even have failed twice since it got two forms.

Everything else from gen 5 is not popular enough to be a “shillmon”

Yes it is the most popular gen 4 mon not named Lucario but in it’s debut game it was organic

>Spammable STAB combo in Dragon/Ground
>Pseudo-legendary with godlike statspread at the time
>The ace of a memorable trainer with a memorable team and an overall memorable battle (at least by Pokémon standards)
>The most popular pseudo-legendary, even to this day
>Obtainable early by pseudo standards in Platinum (maybe that last one was a shillmon attempt)

It’s only after Gen 4 where they started shilling it with a free Shiny Gible in BW2, and giving Garchomp a fucking mega. They also started shilling Cynthia after Gen 4 too.

They’re all failed because they weren’t shilling anything their gen introduced.
Pichu was shilling babies
Lucario was shilling the PS split
Sylveon was shilling the fairy type

Meanwhile, illusions played zero role in gen 5 whatsoever, Musharna would have been a better shillmon, or even the elemental monkeys.
Shedinja and Slaking should have been shillmons in gen 3
