don't the dex entries explain how each of the robots was created and what they're for? they didn't evolve from animals, they're modifications or creations. showing that humans will eventually create more AI and robot Pokemon, like with Genesect. Iron Bundle was made by an ancient civilization, so it's more like Magearna than anything.

So we are to assume they have always looked like that. Maybe they aren't even from the past or future of those timelines, but a present where they simply have that appareance instead, much like the UBs are Pokemon of other dimensions.
