And Scarlet and Violet, more specifically the Indigo Disk, has suffered greatly because of it. All the build-up presented in the base game and the Teal Mask hinged on Indigo Disk resolving it, only for Game Freak to NOT do that.
Because of that, Terapagos ended up being not important. Kieran had some pretty good moments but his arc was resolved far too quickly for it to be meaningful. The Pecharunt story seems to be... fine... but it also does not answer almost any of the weird things presented in the Teal Mask. There also seems to be a lot of cut things, probably because of development time.
Scarlet and Violet was really close to greatness, but it ended up under-delivering in story completeness, performance and features. I still quite liked them, but I will not pretend like I haven't been disappointed by the Indigo Disk.
