The longer version is that the new Tera type unlocked by completing the main story of the DLC is Stellar Type. Tera Stellar has a few unique mechanics, namely the following
- It does not change the users type
- It offers a one time boost to ALL types instead, once per type. In Tera Raids specifically, this omni-boost is permanent.
- It changes Tera Blast to always be Super Effective against opposing Terastallized Pokemon, but also makes it lower the users Attack and Special Attack.
Contrary is an ability that Malamar, Lurantis and Serperior (and Spinda and Shuckle but they're not in SV) have and its effect is to reverse any stat changes they receive.
