This is why DLC doesn't work for RPGs.
You spend months playing after the credits roll and then a new part of the game becomes available to download and you just steamroll through it.

I built a new team for both DLCs, but I went back to my main game one for that final fight because it was such a big level jump.

I made a team out of all the shinies I've scooped up over the past year for Blueberry Academy, made a secondary team for the sake of Drayton's Trial, and then pivoted back to my original campaign rotation + Ogerpon for the sake of meeting Kieran's best with my own best while also being a dick.
The satisfaction of watching Drayton add insult to injury was fucking great, holy shit.

I had JUST finished the main story so I started the dlc with lvl ~70 pokemon, and ended with my team around lvl 85. Difficulty was great all around for me.
Except that part agaonst Drayton where I used Koraidon and it lived a deathblow while at 1 hp twice in a row. Shit is weird.
