battle tower is the same copy pasted junk since gen 6. it added nothing new besides timegate you from getting competitive items
no battle frontier in ORAS means any factory or other modes are gone for good. they're never coming back at this point

the only time any sort of battle facility would be meaningful at all is if it's like the frontiers from 3/4. otherwise it's just "aw, you're not good enough for bss? don't worry, you can beat up the computers instead! don't you feel great?". there is genuinely not a single thing that a battle tower has over bss other than grinding out bp (battle points, need to clarify that now i guess) which is about as engaging as eating chalk

I would rather have had a facility, but honestly the Synchronizer is a pretty nice QoL for shiny hunting and grinding mats (Actually useful now since the rates on Apriballs/Beast Balls in the item maker isn't actually that bad, just make one thing at a time until the 1% ball mode activate and then chock in a 10 once it does to boost the rate for the special balls to reasonable levels) since enabling it and just running around is a lot faster then running around spamming R for autobattle and hoping you mon doesn't just ignore what you wanted it to oneshot.

Just play Showdown and find a group dedicated to that gen's meta, it's literally that easy. You don't need to consume GameFreak's slop just to play Pokemon.

Its a start of a neat idea.
Needs alot of work.
For starters I NEED a jump button.
Most flying pokemon need to be able to actually fly, I don't need Pokemon Flight Sim, just more then everything glides.
It would rule to be a bird.

Later on, maybe add moves.
Again neat idea but it feels like an beta test for movement, then a real mechanic.

That's exactly what it is. Gen 10 is going to fully realize this concept just like how the Wild Area was a beta test for Paldea's open world, and how the SWSH DLC Following Pokemon were a beta test for the Let's Go mechanic in SV.

The worst part of this is that they added actual flight mechanics for the Raidons in this very same DLC. There's no reason they couldn't apply that to all the flying Pokemon you can take control of.

Pokemon desperately needs something to do with your team that isn't battling, I hope they keep working on Syncro and reintroduce contests and minigame and stuff. Powercreep is atrocious and showdown is far better for battling, if I can't have all my pokemon at least let me do something with the few I can use that isn't beating up robots or wading through the online ladder.
