Look at how busy the damn thing looks. Look at how awful its head crest looks in comparison to the rest of the design. The red/orange spiny hair don't even add anything, and the twin tentacle tails looks awful. Raging Bolt may look goofy but at least it's something more pleasing to look at.

Weren't the legendary beasts the result of the original Pokemon dying in the Burned Tower? It's been a while since I played Gen 2, I might be mistaken, but wouldn't ancient versions be impossible?

Paradox pokemon are supposed to be from different timeline now apparently, so I think it's just the legendary beasts from a different timeline where they got revived as dinos instead. The entire lore of paradox pokemon is fucked since gamefreak wanted to be vague with them and not give a direct answer

Also as much as I hate the future pokemon all being the spongebob chrome gag, some of them definitely had some effort put in to make them at least vaguely appealing robots, like there's not much difference between them and the gardellade other than one being an arguably more neat base concept
And I mean, I hate Iron Hands but having floating hands is definitely a change
