You can't backup saves on the Switch for Pokemon games? Then what's the point of all the work of finishing the Pokedex if your Switch gets stolen by a nigger?

Aren't saves tied to your account? I sold my old Switch and got an Oled and can access all my Pokémon saves fine

no, you have to transfer the files from one switch to another. pokemon saves are not stored in the cloud in any capacity, they are saved onto the switches internal memory and that is it

Instead of devising some kind of system to prevent people from abusing save backups to clone items in pokemon and animal crossing, shitendo instead chose to just prevent you from backing up saves for the only games you'd actually want to backup your saves in, rendering the entire feature completely pointless.
