>>55064911Yeah I fully agree. The lore in this game generally works a whole lot with mere implications to make the players figure things out themselves rather than just explaining things. And I prefer vague shit over a lame ass explanation that is worse than everything you thought of yourself. Plus breaking the 4th wall quickly becomes cringy and immersion breaking. Wouldn't count on them to execute that properly.
>>55065104Doubt it, but speaking of Toby Fox: that's for me another piece of evidence that the meta canon is more than just a crazy fan theory. Game Freak clearly loves Undertale, so much that they literally paid Toby Fox to make music for them. The AI battle is definitely also inspired by Undertale, even with the meta UI elements stuff. And on top of that there's the whole bullshit with
the professor receiving the white book from a child at the Crystal Lake, which then also happens with the MC, which is kinda similar to Undertale's whole deal with a similar kind of loop.
TL;DR: GF are 100% Toby Fox fanboys and took inspiration from Undertale.
