Starts with Double battle synergy with Drizzle+Stab Hurricane thrown from a Psuedo, PorygonZ as filler so Incineroar hopefully won't come out until the Rain passed (And it is a Artifical mon like the Terarium is a Artifical area) , 3 Edgy Bois to show that he is DARK AND EDGY now.

What's with these braindead takes? Porygon Z is there to blast holes through your team with Adaptability Life Orb Hyper Beam while being covered by either Incineroar (the literal best doubles Pokemon) and his Intimidate+Fake Out combo to weaken your offense, or Grimmsnarl who sets up screens with Prankster.
There is no attempted thematic choice with his Pokemon, he literally just chooses the best mons for the job that are in the regional dex and aren't legendary, if you really think those Pokemon are on his team because OWWWW THE EDGE you're a retard.

The Kieran of Kitakami is mostly dead to him, though keeping Dipplin as his ace shows that there's still some of that "inner sweetness" left inside of him. Dipplin itself only evolves through a move that supports your allies, and it will always be the first move Hydrapple uses vs. Terapagos. Interactions in the league club also shows that he still has his Kitakami pokemon, commenting on how much he loves his Furret, Cramorant, and Poliwrath.
Changing from Poliwrath to Politoed also showed Kieran's demanding nature of Politoed come through compared to the isolationist/self-preserving one of Poliwrath.
>Sun: They gather on moonlit nights to form a large chorus. Their cries sound angry and not at all pleasant, but they are certainly distinctive.
>Moon: It's the leader of Poliwag and Poliwhirl. When Politoed roars, they all cower in fear.
>RSE: The curled hair on Politoed's head is proof of its status as a king. It is said that the longer and more curled the hair, the more respect this Pokémon earns from its peers.
Porygon-Z is a malfunctioned Porygon2 that has gone off the deep end, and Incineroar is literally the "heel" pokemon.
Grimmsnarl is a cool addition. It's menacing, though it's still has a childish manner to it.

Dragonite is really the only odd one out. Maybe because of how vindictive/wrathful it can get?

I just didn't wanna elaborate too hard on Porygon-Z and the competitive viability of the latter half to avoid getting too TL;DR, i more specifically pointed out Politoed+Dragonite because it sets the first impression of the battle, but as you say they are all strong mons, but i do think there was at least some attempt at theme for the latter half on Gamefreaks part with the "Edgy Bois" being competitively viable AND imposing as opposed to competively viable "Cutemons". But like you said it is really reaching for thematic choices, but Anon was asking for one so i figured i would try reaching for one.

Because he calmed down and is using his regular shitmons from his hometown again.. Applying meaning to the Pokemon themselves is retarded, Incineroar isn't there because of Kieran's fiery temper, it's there because it's one of the best doubles Pokemon ever.

The act of swapping his team is what's important, not the individual Pokemon themselves.

Why are you ignoring what I'm saying? The act of swapping his team is important, because by the point of the rematch Kieran isn't trying as hard to win anymore, as soon as he drops the hyper compfag persona he's just back to using his older mons who aren't as good competitively, and even they have no special meaning besides Kieran got them first.
Getting any more granular than that is pointless because it is literally not that deep. Does Kieran's Yanma represent...the fuckin...desire to grow up fast? No, it represents the fact that Yanma is common as fuck in Katikami and literally everywhere, it's not that deep.

This kind of backwards logic makes you look like an idiot, Incineroar is the best VGC Pokemon, Intimidate is the best ability in doubles, all you're actually doing is making giant leaps of logic to try to fit a circle peg in a square hole, there is no greater theme to him having Dragonite, Dragonite is just really fucking strong, same with Politoed and Porygon-Z and the rest of his team.
