I even remember that Skarmory trainer didn't know why Steel is weak to fire, and to date it also seems strange to me, extreme heat is needed to melt metals, but that also goes for almost everything, using that logic everything is weak to fire, add more oddity, if one day they decide to make a steel type based on tungsten, it would have made more sense to make them weak to electricity because they are good conductors or as a reference to robots when a short circuit occurs.
