The 2019 incident sucked, GG staff were actual scum (still are), and SuperMega shutting down is late karma for Matt giving DD the beta to critique and then not backing him up or admitting involvement, but the fallout years later changed my view of DD. I thought he was just a guy with considerable integrity and a lot of smarts, but under the surface he's deeply mentally ill and while his life has sucked (religious, bigoted, cruel family, untreated medical conditions, etc.), he wears victimhood like a cloak, something he's criticized people for before. I had always thought he was Julian's anchor, but Julian was actually his the whole time.
