Yeah bro, being able to dive is totally as much a Hoenn hint as everything in SV is an Unova hint.
And the KANTO-Johto (not exclusively Johto) park which literally has the fucking nugget bridge from Kanto on it in the same generation they made Kanto again is also a clear Johto reference, not a Kanto one, that would be absurd!

Except they literally didn't, they mentioned other pokemon capable of opening dimensional holes not only the legendaries. In fact out of Sinnoh's legendary trio they only mentioned one, the other ones where fucking ignored
