The original dragon will be a fusion of all three dragons from the future achieved through advanced technology based on the DNA splicers. They used Terapagso to send it back to the past to get rid of it since it was too powerful and vicious.

The three dragons were never meant to be fused together, the original dragon was just a paradox frankenstein creature from a future time that was never meant to exist.

You may be right. Two beasts sketches from scarlet/violet books are trios that fused together. I don't think gamefreak will abandoned them. They can appeared in the next game for a mascot box art, but main goal is catch origin dragon (character not know what to name it). I think origin dragon may have actually three deoxys looklike forms, from what dragon is the core (simply that dragon you target first to fuse). Origin dragon is triple headed beast. Hydrapple signature move was a test for OD signature move effect.

I forgot, that real name OD is just Zekrom, Reshiram or Kyurem. It depends, who was tagged to be main core first.
