Depends on the pokemon, but only if yours is shiny or has a gender difference. But otherwise agree

Disagree, it highly depends on the story but in cases like BW or Gen 7 it kinda makes sense you use the legendary. Stuff like Gen 3 however, no.

I admit I try to stay away from doing these
Though I will occasionally make an exception for something on the rival team and then always have mine switch in to battle theirs
