Steel-types in general should have abilities that change their weaknesses and resistances, essentially making subtypes. Iron being weak to water but strong against fire, etc, mercury being poisonous, etc.

those waterjets only work because the water has sand in it. It's erosion on steroids

it doesn't because its steel thou. every material could theoretically do that.
also, it has to be painted since it would erode after some time, so it should be weak at best.
