>>55091866I feel like for any of these to make sense it has to be something where the theme or design tropes of the line still have some room to grow. There are certainly Pokémon that are definitely two stage or one stage shitmons, but I feel like they've already explored what they could do with them and outside of making a regional or bringing back Megas there isn't really a logical direction to take them next (for example, wtf do you do with Drapion or Lapras other than just make them bigger and meaner?)
>Gen 1Golduck. I feel it's going to happen sooner than some of the rest for sure. They have near perfect attendance, are popular, and definitely have unexplored potential. Water/Psychic 3rd stage is super obvious and easy to do
>Gen 2I want to say Ledian but they seem averse to touching early game Bug types so let's go with Granbull here even tho I personally think it just needs some tweaking. It could become another Fairy/Fighting or whatever
>Gen 3There's so goddamn many but I'll pick Chimecho. It's easily the most useless, and all the other cool ideas got Megas already
>Gen 4Carnivine. Or you could do Skuntank maybe? Though I feel like that one already played out the theme...
>Gen 5Druddigon but give it a baby too. This thing desperately wants to be relevant and it's such a good design wasted on poorly executed stats
>Gen 6Slurpuff or Aromatisse feel like they could get something, but I'll actually land on Helioptile here as the sleeper favorite. Lot of potential there
>Gen 7This Gen had so many one stage Pokemon, holy shit, but so many were designed around bring competitive or having a gimmick so options aren't that many. I'm going to go with Minior only bc it could have some cool synergy with the colors
>Gen 8Falinks feels like it needs a badass evolution or at least an alt form. Barring that, I'd suggest Sandaconda or Drednaw. They feel incomplete now without the GMax forms
>Gen 9Everything feels viable here, but I guess Bellibolt?
