Tail/Gatomon’s gloves are apparently data from SaberLeomon, which it used to make itself more formidable, prior to the lore from 01 and 02 about covering wounds and the tail ring being a source of power. The design of the gloves isn’t exactly the same as SaberLeomon’s paws, but the color and stripe pattern match, and Gato/Tailmon would frankly look like Edward Scissorhands with model-accurate gloves.
Always like that Digimon did this so often—there’s a lot of similar use with Garurumon pelts (Gabumon straight up wears the fur of the thing it wants to/eventually does become; Mercurymon can evolve from the same line and becomes a human wearing a stylized, off-color Garuru head ornament; Zudomon wears ANOTHER off-colored head ornament). A lot of the machine digimon have parts from one another as well. The only pokemon I’m aware of with similar designs are Cubone, the alternate “Shellder” on Slowbro we never got, Remoraid seen on Mantine, and, if you tilt your head and pretend hard enough, Vespiquen sometimes seen with Combee forming a hive, and Tinkaton’s hammer being the same as its prevos’ with more parts slapped on (presumably from steel-type pokemon, but I can’t find any piece that definitely comes from a Corviknight or whatever)
