Agree, the future Paradox names are probably meant to be more uniform and organized but they just seem a little lazy outside of Valiant and Jugulis using words that are slightly creative. At least the robots look cooler by virtue of being robots.

I get what you're going for, but you have to remember that generation 1 also had Pokémon with names like "golem" and "onix." they 1000% were going for the JRPG style of naming conventions before they realized Pokémon probably had legs and could actually become something bigger, so I actually reject your argument on the merits of Generation 1 alone

It's one of the greatest Pokemon names of all time and perfectly exemplifies its purpose as an artificial Pokemon created to take on Arceus. I know you would have thought "Chimeradog" would have been a good name for it.
