>>55117565In modern times, the theme of Dragons is pretty vague. I think of the dragon type as either mythological beast or ancient beast. It’s more to do with how the “defenses” of the Pokémon work. I find that scales and feathers are interchangeable and mixed. If Altria has hardened scales under those feathers then yeah - it’s a dragon. If Altarias feathers have a magical repelling effect - it’s a dragon.
Amoharos for me looks like a Chinese style mixup. Similar to a Kirin. It’s pretty much a dinosaur in shape, but if you could imagine a sheep having tough skin under its coat (or even silicon skin) and its fur being like a magical repellent then it works as a dragon.
My biggest issues are regarding Lugia Ho Oh and Charizard.
