>>55123814>>55123824The act of a "loop" implies eventually, the cycle will return to our timeline, even if there's infinity timelines.
We'll eventually wind down from Alternate Professor Infinity's events to come reach Alternate Professor 1's events again, but here's the oopsie fucking whoopsie that breaks the loop and converts it into a regress.
>Alternate Professor 1 wants to make time machine. Suddenly gets transported to Kitakami. Meets our version of the Protagonist. Trades their childhood copy of Heath's Book for Briar's Book. Without the book, there's no longer a mechanism to work the time machine, which means no AI Professor, which means no Paradox Pokemon, which means the professor never dies, which means the game's events do not play out as we see them for Alternate Timeline 1, meaning Alternate Protagonist 1 is now no longer able to continue the loop because they do not have the ability to receive Briar's Book in the state that it perpetuates the loop. And thus, because of the loop stopping, it's no longer able to fulfill itself, all of the involved timelines being retconned because the professor never receives the information from Briar's Book that serves to fuel their obsession and offer progress towards creating the time machine.
But NOTHING retcons itself. What's done is still done. Our professor is still dead, we still have our Paradox Pokemon and Terapagos, despite the fact that somewhere in the self-feeding loop, a key series of events never played out, which should have prevented our professor from receiving Briar's Book.
So that means it can only be one thing. It's Turtles. All. The Fucking Way. DOWN.
