>>55127146I think it’s realizing Incineroar is back in VGC, is clearly a major and organically popular starter by now like Blaziken and Greninja, used in story by one of the toughest NPCs around, and even had its hammy animations toned down to be more “serious/cool” (compare popping out of a poke ball in gen 7 compared to gen 9) and Rhys stealing Decidueye’s supposed “cool” aspect (I use the descriptor loosely for it). Even getting a new form doesn’t change how useless it is for gameplay and arguably looks dorkier than base owl.
They keep getting… well, cucked.
