>>55127945The Ogerpon part is completely necessary for his seething to truly bloom, specially so as Ogerpon has been treated as an individual and character, not a general species, this one Ogerpon in particular.
Things start to get iffy when we hit Terapagos. Now that's a cucking that's completely unnecessary or and over the top, specially so because of how schizo this franchise is in regards of treatment of the Pokemon where you're supposed to treat them as your friends and your buddies and unique individuals but ultimately this shit is a numbers game and 10 minutes later you're on a legendary hunt catching all these niggas because you got some magical snacks just to fill in a list.
You know how it would have worked out better? Terapagos has a meltdown because of Briar or something, you cannot beat him, everything is fucked, Kieran feels like he cannot do anything because not even you could and despite him getting so strong you still beat him, BUT, you and Carmine tell him his help is needed and only through the group effort can Terapagos be defeated and Kieran now realizes he can stand shoulder to shoulder with you.
Things like how Kieran gets a competitive team and stuff only work with meta-contextual information. In the games themselves it shouldn't be an issue at all, it's not like we've seen Kieran mistreating his team or anything, or told he does, or that Furret is sad because it replaced because Kieran thought it was a shitmon, funnily enough something like this happened with Hop but I digress, point being is that what Kieran did in that regard is nothing out there but we're supposed to see it as something "bad".
This has always been a problem with this franchise. There's a massive dissonance between the messages the franchise pushes and how the games actually work.
But ultimately the entire Terapagos crap was crap and felt tacked on as shit and both Kieran and Terapagos characters and roles in the story suffer in the process.
