There was no challenge in SV. I think the only person in SV that actually put up a decent fight was the first time fighting Arven during the Titan quest.

If you struggled with these games while using items you suck really fucking badly, and if you struggled without using them it's a tacit admission that the game isn't difficult while taking full advantage of what it provides to you. Pokemon will never be (and has NEVER been, btw) challenging because every single encounter is marred by the fact that you have to actively handicap yourself to do so.

You can't really compare the levels now with the games before it, since now you can train dozens of pokémon to level 100 in bulk or just magically level them up to whatever level you want them to be.
The levels might be higher now, but these are the same games we need to constantly handicap ourselves by rotating teams to lower our own level

They literally are not, only one picnic is required and it's not for your team, but Crispin's. And if you talk about BBQs, you can use any pokemon ie I wash my Koraidon so the pokemon I actually use aren't getting extra care
