Why isn't there a Battle Tower in SV? Was it removed due to time constraints or for another reason? Do you think this will be a permanent decision going forward (outside of remakes)?
Personally, I don't think the Battle Tower was removed due to time constraints, because if that was the case, it probably would've made its return in the DLC. The fact that a Battle Facility wasn't added even in the DLC, makes me think that things go deeper than the usual "Game Freak didn't have time" excuses. I feel like Game Freak decided to gradually delete this feature out of existence. In Gen 6, the Battle Tower (Maison) had Singles, Doubles, Triple, Rotation and Multi battles. In Gen 7, they dropped Triple and Rotation battles. In Gen 8, they dropped Multi Battles. And now in SV, they decided to completely delete this feature, not leaving even Single and Double battles.
