It's basically X and Y with soul. It's easy and retarded as fuck but there are parts that actually feel soulful. X and Y just felt like fucking gay lazy dogshit AND was easy and retarded as fuck. Don't get me wrong it's still shit compared to the first 3 gens.

Routes that honestly look better then this ps2 slop PL:A and S/V's been trying to pass off as 'graphics'. We all should have known when the wild area looked as bad as it did, pokemon couldn't do open world. Yet everyone rather have that over direct routes with set camera so they can focus on making each one a vista of detail.

X was the first Pokémon game I ever dropped. and I played Ranger. I just couldn’t do it. felt like it was made for toddlers.

Sun had problems too. Mediocre RPG all around. No dungeons. The fucking hallways. The volcano with warp points. The constant unskippable cutscenes. It ran like shit at times. Obviously rushed out half-baked.

but the Pokémon were interesting again. There was nostalgia pandering with redesigned classics and the Ultra Beasts felt fresh. The art direction peaked here.

Mixed bag. I had fun with the online because of /vp/. Battle Tower was a satisfying challenge. I liked the return of Ash and Gary as a vacationing gay couple. Took me over a year to beat because it was so boring.

6.5/10 would Guzma again

I didn't play any pokemon game for years until SV was out for a while and I only played that one just to see how fucking shit it was and it was actually idk it might be worse. It's so fucking shit. Sun and moon and sword/shield were ok

Graphically alone, 7 shits all over 6. Multidirectional movement, unchibi, no grass patch, player in the battle, dynamic camera, etc. They reused the Pokemon models and the engine chugs with more than 2 models in a battle so they removed a lot 3D but overall it's worth it and the game looks a lot better.
