Watching first episode. Seems kino so far. Human-human interactions can be a bit cringe but the Pokémons don’t let those go on too long.

Very comfy show that just makes you feel happy, but by the time yoilu get invested, the show's over already. It's pretty much just a kid's film more than anything, but that's not a bad thing. Doubt they'd make more episodes, because the puppeteering is hard work, but seeing more would be great.

Anon is right >>55144125, anime is only a term to define animated production made in Japan, it comes in a multitude of techniques, this is the reason why animated series like Avatar, despite taking many elements from anime, are not true animes and Series made with stop motion or rotoscoping made in Japan are considered anime.

The same studio had previously made two seasons of a stop-motion series. The first had 12 episodes and the second had 8. I'm assuming TPCi just wasn't willing to do more than 4 episodes in case it flops, rather than the studio being unwilling/unable to do it.

So, does this production contribute something to the lore such as new locations, data on the behavior, food, or biology of some Pokémon, more details about Pokémon World? or at least some cameo or fanservice?

Or it's just another case where someone wanted to tell their fanfiction, but since no one was interested, they just added pokemon and called it a day, like Pokemon Reburst.
