I don’t think Nemona will EVER be Top Champion because she’s too autistic about battles to do any kind of paperwork at all, let alone run an organization
Paldea’s League is a lot more business- oriented than the others, in Paldea there’s no one behind the scenes to pay rent and organize challenges and file taxes, the leader of the group is the boss
And Rika and Larry sure as hell aren’t going to want to take on all that shit by themselves

Nemona's supposed to be the seitokaichou but of all the stupid bullshit on SV this is one if not the most unbelievable one.
Geeta built an organization that simply cannot function without her at the helm because of her constant micromanagement. The second she drops the whole thing will crumble under it's own weight and someone else will have to pick-up the pieces and rebuild from the ground-up.

Because paldeans aren't autistic and let their champions enjoy freedom without having to be stuck in the league for others to fight them (literally the reason Steven lost the title to Wallace, and probably the reason Red lost the title to Lance), the Top Champion serves as fifth Elite 4 member and gateway to the Champion title, it's not the position of the strongest trainer of the region (people think it coincidentaly does because Geeta is the strongest of all Champion ranks, but that's because Nemona hides her powerlevel)

Basically the Paldea League works like the Kanto League prior RGB or the Alola League prior SM, but rather than having to fight four trainers to become Champion, you fight five.

It's funny because the DLC introduces a made up league but compared to Paldea's, every other league looks made up on the spot too (just with big budget). Who's the chairman? What does it do to raise the level of trainers? Do they colaborate with other leagues in foreign nations? How the fuck you literally just enter a door and they are already waiting for you? How do they chose the Elite 4? How do they see each other, assuming they event interact? How do they manage their champions, their rooms and all with something as volatile as "who's the top dog"? Is the league even involved in anything other than the building where a champion is crowned? Do they even care about the weird stuff that happens in each region with their legendaries, as a regiona institution?

And even the BB League explains the former Champion has the right to become part of the Elite 4 when dethroned and have more requisites than just randomly entering and start fighting people.
Paldea had the alolan token charm thing and Galar had the endorsement from Rose, also a chairman from a league but yeah they are not even close to the scope and details of Paldea's league in terms of organization and official involvement with the region's matters. I'm really curious about next gen's league considering what they did this time
