So yeah, humans are definitely separate from Pokémon. For example, humans can’t learn four different moves like a Pokémon can.This confirms that humans and Pokemon were never the same type of creature in their evolutionary histories. This is a perplexing worldbuilding decision considering the fact that GameFreak wants to paint Pokemon as equivalent to real-world animals.
