If GF wants to make another game that's fine but they should realize that Pokémon is their main thing and will be so in the foreseeable future and thus should be the focus. The entire point is Game Freak not being grasped by the balls by Nintendo. Running back to them so you can make games not for their systems nullifies the whole thing.
Nintendo is the sole reason Game Freak was and is relevant in the industry. But they don't want that anymore.
