4 or 5? I feel like these are the 2 Gens universally agreed to be where gamefreak started going overboard with the power creep, but which one was a bigger contributor? I could see an argument being made for either.
Gen 4
>Introduced a lot of high BP moves
>Introduced a lot of high BST mons
>Had the split which mostly eliminated the need for sometimes relying on a mon’s weaker attacking stat
While gen 5
>Started giving EVERY mon high BP moves
>Started minmaxing stats to unreasonable degrees
>Is generally where they started frequently combining powerful mons/moves/abilities that were just preposterously good together.
I’m probably over generalizing here but I know you guys know what I’m getting at, as a rule of thumb; gen 4 is when power creep started setting in, gen 5 is when it started spreading everywhere
