However I don't think I've seen people in these threads do it, at least to my noticing. I usually just lurk, though.

I think its a case of flanderization where people see that he has this little verbal tic but only pay attention to his "verrrrry" and "I am Emmet" and sprinkle such phrases carelessly into his speech to make it sound like him. But it sounds so unnatural, and in a bad way. Meanwhile Masters makes him talk so normal that it almost doesn't sound like him, hah.
>"ano ne" translated into "you know"Asked someone who's familiar with Japanese on a basic level and "you know" isn't *that* off the mark, but it's more like when you end a sentence with "y'know" as filler. I always thought that they way he says "You know." is hilariously menacing like he knows something only I should be able to know. The fact it now sounds to me like he just doesn't know how to really end his little spiel is so cute. Wish that didn't get lost in translation. I always feel like Emmet is the harder one for me to grasp because while Ingo is very talkative and polite, Emmet's dialogue gives us less to work with because he speaks in a short, blunt fashion. Doesn't help that Ingo got even more content in PLA to use as material... Being an Emmetyume is hard.
