They get megas, super saiyan forms or some other broken buff. though the fact that Typhlosion was apparently popular enough on its own to make the list means that Game Freak severally underestimated its popularity, which leads credence to the theory that they created Typhlosion specifically to set it up to fail (no anime appearance, buffs, or much of anything in over 20 years), so that CHARIZARD would look better, but fans liked it anyway.
