Hiya /vp/, as you know the new PokePark Kanto has just been announced. If it's anything like the new Super Mario theme park that opened not long ago in Japan, I imagine it'll be a very immersive theme park experience with plenty of locations, items and themes directly from the games. Since I have a low chance of attending, and I had some time on my hands due to winter break, I've decided to very autistically design a hypothetical, real-world theme park for the Kanto region, but I need (You)r help for new ideas. Imagine budget is theoretically no object.

So I'm imagining terraforming and construction being the biggest component of the cost for creating a real life Pokemon Kanto region. One would need damn near the size of a small country, on the coast of a large body of water, to fully and properly create the "region". Although if things are shrunk down a bit, much like a minigolf course, it could be done way easier and it's less area for people to walk so maybe that's the way. I'm thinking literal towns and cities, but much smaller than real-world, with each one having its own Pokemon Center and Mart buildings. The Pokemon Centers would include not just a rest area but also a hotel/hostel situation like there is in the anime, bathrooms, food courts, the whole deal. Plus battling and trading with friends on the upper level. To buy items, the Mart is the place to go. The item retrieval system in the PC would not make a ton of sense in the real world, so I'm thinking you can just have a locker or something to keep extra items in once you run out of space in your bag.
