>>55155609A guy who assumed that Pokemon have the power of gods, using Chansey as an example because of a pun made in one of the early episodes. Meowth asked one to bring his Konban, the coin on hs forehead, but Chansey brought several things with similar names, like gohan (meal), Konpan (Venonat) and kouban (police kiosk), but he can't understand that it was a absurd joke and will then use Brock's Happiny as another proof, because this one can lift up a frozen lake. For him, that's the power of a regular Happiny. I showed him an episode where Dawn's Piplup (who should have better stats) couln't move a boulder but Brock's Happiny could. He always ignored that.
For him, everything in the Pokedex is true, but everything making Digimons look stronger in the Reference Book is false.
My favorite claim from him, made after I used this example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_5D8gN1V-gto show that a Pikachu willing to harm Ash cannot do it, was that because Pokemon Legend Arceus had lenient fall damage, humans from Pokemon's world were not common humans but actually stronger that Hulk (yes, he said that).
Marowak was killed by a Team Rocket member with a stick? It was off screen, you can't be sure. Dragonite attacking Vermillion City? Even if it was off screen and the fact that Lance said nobody was killed, for him, people were killed for sure.
The thing is, he never go back to anything he said, so he contracticts himself, invents new explanation and diminish everything you said in favor of Digimon by either saying that its our headcannons, or saying that some Pokemon could also do it, based on the Pokedex only without visual proof.
It's sometimes funny to debate with him, sometimes tiring. One guy baited him a lot this summer. He never failed to joined the debate to pursued his claims. Also, he apparently watch everything from Digimon, for the sole purpose of proving Pokemon are stronger. That's ow far his obsession went.
