What's the state of the game? Has the performance been improved? Have the bugs been fixed?
I am looking to get a switch soon-ish so I am considering this.

Performance still chugs at times. Model load errors are still common. But I haven't experienced any of the ridiculous bugs that occur during Union Circle. It's still playable.

Perfomance in the main game and Kitakami are stable enough (still chug st times, especially since the memory leak issues aren't solved), Blueberry Academy has atrocious performance for some reason.
I have never encountered significant bugs so I can't give an opinion on that.

The performance is still terrible and there are still a lot of bugs. Game is pretty fun tho, I'd say give it a try if you're interested and can get a good deal on it

Aside from the evolution glitch here and there (which can be remedied by temporarily setting cpu accuracty to paranoid) it's rather nice. Granted, I play in an emulator (bc fuck Yakuza-sponsored Nintendo), so I highly doubt others will have the same experience regarding performance.

There are nowhere as many bugs and glitches as people tell you. Performance is fine, the game looks mid but that's it. Everyone who has actually played the game on console (not emulator) knows this but most people seem to have gotten their opinions from clickbait titles and discord shitposts. Most blatant attempt at creating a negative narrative about a game that I've ever seen.

I know that if you evolve during the titan fight (Klawf in particular) your Pokémon will have a copy off to the side while they go and evolve. Pokémon isn’t even duplicated it just spawns another guy in the cutscene.

Performance has had zero improvements, and is even worse in some DLC areas
Screen flickering in the open world is common
Battling/being on uneven terrain will frequently cause the camera to partially glitch through the map
